Merry Christmas!
It has been more than a year since we've updated our blog, we know, way too long.
To our family and friends who've been asking for an update … here it is, we finally made some time, what better time than now, just in time for the New Year!
We are now a family of four, Abigail is 3 and Aidan turned 1 in October. It is a busy house to say the least, but oh so fun. These kids have definitely turned our lives upside down but we wouldn't have it any other way. They add more to our lives than we could have ever imagined.
Abigail is now in preschool, a year early but she was eager to start school, so we gave it a try and she loved it. No tears … well, maybe just a few … but from Mommy. She's talking non-stop, a little chatter box we'd say. Her favourite word to use in spanish is "exactamente" (exactly) and she loves to use the phrase "it's my favourite part" for everything!
Aidan is getting into everything! He doesn't walk yet but climbs onto things you wouldn't think you can climb on. Just this evening we found him standing on the toilet seat (toilet seat was down) trying to grab the picture frames hanging on the wall, oh boy! He can say a few words; Daddy, Abby and Ratatouille … but he doesn't say mommy … go figure. He's a fun little guy who loves and knows how to use his charm!
Our family is precious, we thank our Lord and Saviour for blessing us with this gift and for entrusting us with these beautiful children. Thank you family and friends for your love, support and prayers. You know what they say, 'it takes a village to raise a child.'
