Hope you all had a great Christmas and a great start to the year.
We had a fabulous time at home with the family, Abigail's 1st Christmas was great, even though she got the sniffles, she still managed to enjoy opening her presents and smile for the camera :)
Her first flight was smooth, she slept the whole way there and back ... it was a short flight!
We were disappointed that we didn't have a chance to see or spend time with some of our friends but we'll be home again soon and catch up then.
First week of 20111 and we were greeted by an unwanted guest ... a bug that hit Abigail pretty bad. She is now doing much better, still very weak and pale but she still manages to squeeze out a little smile now and then - for this we are grateful, it is special to see God's graceful hand in every little detail of our lives.
Starting a new year is always an exciting time for us; reflecting on the past year and seeing the Lord's guidance in every step of our journey is humbling and it is a motivator to look at the new year ahead with excitement and ease. Knowing, trusting and having certainty that whatever 2011 brings, God will have it under control and He will have all things perfectly planned out for us - this is sufficient to look at 2011 with willingness and open arms.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways my ways ... For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace" Isaiah 55:8,12
Every year we see it as a year of opportunities, beautiful opportunities to experience His good and perfect will, opportunities to know more of His character, opportunities to grow in Him, and simply, opportunities to love Him more than we do now. We are in His hands and partakers of His grace, mercy, love and forgiveness - what a blessing to be part of His Kingdom.
May you see and experience Him in amazing ways this year.
Have a beautiful 2011!
With love,
The Castro's
